Fun Fall Activities in BellevueTake noisy walks through colorful leaves, pick up (and start!) family traditions, and find autumn surprises from nature. It’s no secret that we love fall in Bellevue. Here are just a few ways to celebrate the season’s newest colors with our favorite fun fall activities in Bellevue.

Take a Hike

Hiking is the universal way to get fresh air and a little exercise with friends and family. No matter your skill level, Bellevue has plenty of hiking opportunities in and around the city. If you have just an afternoon to spend outdoors, visit the Coal Creek Natural Area and walk through 3.7 miles of trails dotted with history from the local coal mining industry.

Have a little more time? Head east to Issaquah’s Grand Ridge Park for an up-close look at Pacific Northwest wildlife and wetlands. Grand Ridge Park boasts over 1,000 acres of forest reaching elevation of over 1,000 feet. Lead your group over a 600-foot boardwalk and a 40-foot bridge as you identity the park’s inhabitants of regional trees, plants, and animals.

Go On a Mini Nature Getaway

For a refreshing break, step into one of Bellevue’s parks and get instantly transported to a crisp landscape of changing colors. Whether you want to carry along a hot cup of coffee, bring the kids, or invite a friend for a chat, parks like Lake Hills Greenbelt and Marymoor are great places to start.

Bonus ideas to make your excursion even more fun: pack foods that are easy to enjoy on the move for a “walking picnic,” end a chilly walk with a trip to your favorite coffee shop, or focus on art by taking photos or collecting materials for craft projects, including leaves, small branches, and pinecones.
